Solace Utara tagged me on her Liebster post and I have a few minutes to answer her questions (I’ll be skipping the rest of the tag this time because I’ve done it so many times already but I never pass up my tagger’s questions because they’re always so fun to answer!) She had another set of great questions again!
What advice would you give children today?
Please please please do not grow up too fast. Ignorance really is bliss; until you actually start changing into an adult, don’t rush to wear makeup, dress too old, and stop playing with your army men. You will have all the time in the world to be an adult, so hold onto your childhood innocence as long as possible. Have some pure simple fun with your friends before you have to pay for your own wi-fi. 🙂
Whom do you consider to be the hero of our generation?
I have never thought about this before; I don’t know. I think we all can be heroes, especially for ourselves. If you are allowing someone to hurt you or are letting someone else dictate your life and convictions in ways that they should not be doing, you need to stand up for yourself. Because no one really knows what you need except for you and God and they can’t read your mind. They might not even realize they are hurting you. So don’t wait for them to become your hero:
Have you ever saved someone’s life?
I think I saved someone from possibly drowning… I didn’t think I did that much, it was at a pool party for the church and one of the smaller boys panicked while in the deep water. I stroked out and caught him and took him to the edge where his dad took him from there. It didn’t feel like a big deal but the kid was quite traumatized from the ordeal because his mom came thanked me later and said he kept repeating “she saved me.” So, it was kinda cool.
What was the last song you heard?
One of the songs from Pitch Perfect, I think. Those songs were out of bounds; A Capella combined with modern songs is really awesome.
Where do you go for advice?
I usually go to my mom. And depending on what it is, sometimes my sister too. They’re both really helpful because they often see things differently then I do so it’s nice to get another viewpoint on things. And then sometimes they just affirm what I was already thinking and that’s really nice too.
Which countries have you been too?
I have been to zero countries excluding the United States of America. Unless you want to count going via books….
Would you rather live without your favorite fandom or the internet?
8-| …. nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope….
What talent would you like to have?
My mind went unbelievably blank when I read this question. I suppose I wish a had a talent towards writing music or songs. That would be really neat. It is something I can not do as of now.
What is one thing you would like to change about the past?
I would like to go back and fix all the bad things that happened to my parents as kids because if some things had gone better, I don’t think my family would be in as much of a pickle as we are right now.
Where does all your money go?
I save a lot of it and then the stuff I do buy usually ends up being fandom related merch, or posters or shirts. I also buy books and movies if they are not too expensive. Here below is a picture of my family’s Star Wars monopoly set and my mom’s Artoo figure. Stuff like this.
What is the most dangerous thing you have ever done?
This always makes me cringe when I remember it because while I was full of energy as a kid, I didn’t do that many stupid things. Except for this one time where I hopped onto the back of the family trailer when my dad test drove it around the neighborhood–I was probably ten or eleven, I think. If I had fallen off at any point I could have easily broken my neck or been killed during that ride. But I just thought how fun and cool it would be to ride like that and I didn’t realize how dangerous it was. My dad nearly had a heart attack when I announced what I had done right afterwards, lol. It’s quite embarrassing to recall though. I’m glad that is the only really dangerous thing I ever did as a kid.
That is quite a odd place to end this but oh well. 🙂 I hope everyone is having a good Monday.
