Writing Buddies

29 Dec

I dragged my computer outside this week; I badly needed to work on my short story sequel and I thought fresh air and quiet would be great to work with. Princess joined me; she first climbed up onto the keyboard to check it out. Than she curled up on my lap and went to sleep. Our other cat, Patience, came over and jumped up onto the table, walked across my keyboard and settled down behind my screen!

So, I had some friendly company as I wrote about my own character Jessie becoming a P.I., Larry stealing again and Frankie becoming the City’s crazy man! The sequel is going to be epic…and crazy and I’m way behind. Shame on me! And it’s all because my sidekick Princess Leia is way too cute!

Things I’m Looking Forward to in 2012

28 Dec

Not necessarily in proper order. XD

The Avengers: THIS. MOVIE. IS. GOING. TO. BE. EPIC.

Seriously. It will be. I mean, it’s going to have BOTH Captain America and Loki in it (they are the two I want to see more of!). That’s serious ingredients for epicness. I’m also looking forward to seeing Thor work with Cap. And seeing more of the other Avengers!!

Joining The Lakehouse Forum:

They’re basically a group of conservative Christian girls who all enjoy Star Wars. Yes. I think it will be wonderful to meet more like-minded girls; and they all love Star Wars!!!!! Horray! And I’ve been invited to join at least twice; so I’m more than welcome! Yay!

Writing More:

This past year I’ve dropped much of my book writing because of family distractions; and I mentally just didn’t feel like writing. This probably makes it another year break from my constant, feverish writing and I’m hoping that I’ve had a long enough break to pick it all back up. This happened with my one book ‘Muffin’; so it figures that it would happen with the sequel as well.  XD Considering I’ve pushed my one book out of my mind completely, I should be thoroughly refreshed to finish it up during the new year!

My Eighteenth Birthday:

It sounds old. I can’t believe in six months I’ll be a legal adult. It’s hard to believe that I and my friends are growing up. Gabe and I will be eighteen; Kayla sixteen, Nechet fifteen and Moriah thirteen. And Rebekah twenty two!  Ahhg. It seems like yesterday when we were all under sixteen years old! Which.. would takes us back before Nathan was born. So, yeah. We’re all growing up and that’s pretty exciting!

Raising My Kitten:

I’m so looking forward to raising Princess to be a grown adult cat. It will be a ton of fun to play with her and love her as she grows up. I hope to be the best human she will ever meet. I’m excited to have a pet of my own to take care of and I hope she lives a long time with me.

Catalog of Gifts

27 Dec

(c)

Here is some of my Star Wars presents: I love my Star Wars Panel to Panel book, it’s full of artwork, with a lot from comic books or what you see on the internet. Sometime I’ll share the pictures I already have on my computer like it’s from my book. XD Oh, the big bottle is body wash for all us kids to use, along with a dispenser. I’m pretty sure that’s clone Captain Rex’s helmet…he’s cool, so I don’t mind that it’s a Clone Wars thing.

(c)

That’s my Chewbacca ornament, Chewbacca action figure (with gun), Darth Vadar and Chewbacca lego pens, and a light blue mini lighstaber full of lip gloss. Yes. Lip gloss in a lightsaber. Epic.

(c)

More body wash and a mini lightsaber with hollow handle for M&M’s. And three pins Kayla gave me. The bottom one is of Darth Maul, if it’s too washed out to tell. :)

(c)

My new Threepio computer mouse; Kayla gave me some of the best gifts! We’re hoping it’s a new enough model to work on my laptop… if it doesn’t, I’ll probably give it back to her to try on her computer.

(c)

And all the Star Wars cards from Kayla. Top ones are all of Revenge of the Sith. Middle are real old carboard ones, and the bottom row are all in plastic sleeves. Kayla kept some for herself so we can trade together. LOL. There are a lot of cards here, and I still need to look at them real close. :)

(c)

Kayla gave me everything in this picture except of the DVD (yes, we got Captain America..the clean version, which confuses me because I honestly can’t think of one scene that needed to be taken out…) I love my Cap action figure and the stickers are epic. They will probably get stuck onto my laptop or something. Kayla also painted that shield, on wood. Even she doesn’t know what it is but she said I could use it like a cup coaster or something. LOL

(c)

These are all random gifts (Kayla gave me the little disco ball). I love my Woody doll. The candle is pomegrante scented; I got three of the Peeps trees, but I already ate one of the boxes. The Snoopy cup is cute and I had honey roasted nuts on my list! LOL

This isn’t all; I got two shirts (one with kittens on it and one with a cross and scripture). I got a new light for next to my bed (my other one has been dead for almost a year!). It got a book on writing my Douglas Wilson and the “It’s Not that Complicated” book on boy/girl relationships by Anna Sofia and Elizabeth Botkin (Kayla and I share the book). I got lots of other random, little stuffs and, of course, my kitten.

(c)

It was a nice Christmas; Kayla got some great gifts (her two favorites are the ones I gave her. Big Sister gifts rock. Just sayin’.) But I will let her blog about them herself. Nathan got about five huge lego sets, a Star Wars lego shirt with two Stormtroopers and Darth Vadar. And a ton of other stuff.

I gave Daddy a box full of home made oatmeal cookies that I made, I gave Mommy the cross-stitched picture she was wanting, and Nathan the Star Wars gun he had begged for from Wallmart. :)

I’m so thankful for all my presents, especially Princess. :) Thank you, Mom and Dad, for all of my gifts (and Kayla–she got my a lot this year!)

The Adventures of Tintin

26 Dec

These are the two trailers for the movie we went to see in theaters yesterday. I highly recommend this movie, too, it’s funny, adventurous, mysterious and fun! It’s got some good twists and many very nice characters. Captain Haddock is probably my favorite. XD Thompson and Thompson cracked up me up as well.

Kayla will no doubt work out a huge post about it, since she was the one who really wanted to see it. :) I enjoyed it, and highly recommend it!
